Editorial Concept, Art Direction, Book DesignCONTEXT
As architect of the new Orient Express, Maxime d’Angeac needed to present the vision behind the train through the material that had shaped it — drawings, sketches, references and photographs documenting the work in progress.CREATIVE DIRECTION
Conceived as a substantial bound volume, the book brings this creative archive together into a single object. Its deliberately raw editorial language moves between architectural process and photographic observation, revealing the making of a contemporary icon rather than simply presenting the finished train.OUTCOME
Originally created for a private presentation, the book was later selected for the Orient Express exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

A CREATIVE PROCESS, BOUND
Drawings, sketches, photographs and fragments of a work in progress — documenting the making of the new Orient Express.
AN ARCHIVE IN THE MAKING
Conceived as an archive in its own right, the book transforms the architect’s working material into a visual narrative — documenting a project still in the making.
FROM PRIVATE OBJECT TO EXHIBITION
Initially conceived as a private editorial object, the book later entered the public narrative of the project, selected for the Orient Express exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
